Volunteers make great associates. The sense of teamwork, and willingness to “step up” to do whatever job is at hand, are qualities we admire. MACI is proud to recognize these outstanding volunteers:
Dawn Fowler, QA
Dawn’s co-workers were in awe of the many hours she worked setting up the new, QA blanket-making event for cancer patients. She spent hours buying fabric for 50 blankets, then washed, cut & matched it all at home, and made samples & instructions. Thanks to Dawn, it was well-organized, & fun!
In 2016FY and 2017FY, Travis volunteered hundreds of hours for FIRST Robotics with the Jacktown Vectors at the Jackson ISD. He worked most evenings from January to March with the kids in the lab, and spent long days at local & regional competitions on the weekends. Travis also represented MACI at the global championship in St. Louis, MO. Travis also has volunteered for other MACI Volunteer activities, including Habitat for Humanity and the United Way Cardboard Boat Race!
Janis volunteers for everything! In 2016FY, just some of Janis’ volunteer time included MACI teams for Salvation Army Bell Ringing, Habitat for Humanity, Parma Playground Cleanup, Blood Drives, Family Adoption, blanket-making & more. All those hours add up quickly! She has given countless hours of personal time. Janis’ outgoing and friendly personality add a lot to our team spirit!Susie Winkle – Diecast
Susie was a volunteer standout in 2016FY for how hard she worked at our community projects like Habitat for Humanity, plus her exemplary commitment to donating blood to the Red Cross. Susie appears to be constantly in motion, and always has a smile for someone on her face. Along with her team volunteer activities, Susie has made a personal commitment to donate blood every 56 days. Not because her blood type is particularly rare, but because she knows the need never stops! Our nation’s blood supply is built on volunteers like her – saving lives of strangers, every day!
