ERA Launch Ceremony!
On 12/3/2024, we celebrated the kick-off of our Electric Compressor (e-comp/EZ-1) Assembly line at MACI with our leadership team, dedicated Associates, and a few special guests. We were particularly honored to have TICO’s Compressor Division Senior Executive Officer, Mr. Suito, join us. The e-compressor is MACI’s 3rd major generation of technology, preceded by fixed and variable. E-comp Reorganization Activity (ERA) began August 24th, 2022, and we’ve come a long way since then!
A tremendous amount of work was put into this project by many MACI Associates and we thank everyone for their efforts! MACI initiated EZ1 equipment assessment on March 23rd, 2023. A total of 28 machines laid the groundwork for our EZ1 cleanroom spanning 15,970 square feet.
During the set-up, we were guided by nearly 100 TICO support staff, with up to 85 present at one time. On March 18th, 2024, we celebrated the completion of our first fully assembled compressor. In the midst of e-comp preparation, the last fixed compressor off AC1was completed on June 14th, 2024.
To support EZ1 – MACI installed e-comp capabilities for Die Cast and Machining. The 2QA for e-comp die cast & finishing occurred on September 27th, 2024, followed by the 2QA for e-comp FH and RH machining on November 6th, 2024. Mass production officially began on December 3rd, 2024. These milestones would not be possible without the tireless efforts of our Associates. Thank you for making this venture a resounding success!
