MACI produced its 50 millionth compressor unit on June 15, 2005.
A brief ceremony was held in the assembly area. President Kato expressed his appreciation to the associates by purchasing two commemorative MACI polo shirts for each associate.
In addition, MACI pledged a total donation of $30,000 to the Village of Parma, Sandstone Township and Western Schools to include the corporate “hometown” in the celebration of the company’s 50 millionth compressor sold.
With the announcement of the three gifts of $10,000 each, MACI President Kevin Kato said, “We believe in the importance of relationships. I feel we were able to achieve 50 million in sales due to associates’ continuous kaizens (improvements) and to our ongoing good relationship with the community. We of course will continue with our effort in the company, and we are committed to being a responsible citizen.”
