MACI is not only committed to full compliance with environmental regulations, but we aim to exceed them whenever possible. We have been ISO 14001 certified since 1999, & to reduce overall manufacturing impact on the environment. Recent targets include landfill waste reductions & improved recycling programs.
MACI has an on-site wastewater treatment plant where over 100,000 gallons of water per day is tested, treated, & discharged to the local municipal wastewater plant.
Our associates take pride in the environment, too. We have a Nature Team to monitor campus bluebird nests each spring, an Adopt-A-Highway crew to help keep our roadsides clean, & support many local environmental groups, inluding the Dahlem Center and Friends of Falling Water.
