A new generation
As Toyodai’s company grew, so did his family. He had a son named Kiichiro who wanted to build automobiles. His ambition was to become the Henry Ford of Japan.

Sakichi provided Kiichiro with the resources to start his own division within Toyoda Automatic Loom Works, Ltd. in 1933. Four years later, Kiichiro’s venture was so successful that it broke away and took the name, "Toyota Motor Company.”

In 1959, Toyota Motor Company began production on the three cyliner crank shaft style compressor. Although a far cry from the compressors we make today at MACI, it was a milestone in its day.

Toyoda Automatic Loom Works, Ltd changed its name to Toyota Industries Corporation (TICO) in 2001. Today, they remain one of the most diverse & technically advanced companies in the world.
